Another fire raged in California: fire Sherpa in the Los Padres National Forest. It has doubled in size during the weekend to 32 km². 140 homes were evacuated.
Temperatures hit record temperatures in recent days, brushing 50 degrees in the American Southwest.
Fires are also raging in the states of New Mexico and Arizona.
